Project Schedule
Build the schedule by phase — and see the crew it takes.
Type your phases, drag them onto the calendar, and set the men per week. It prints as a GC-ready 11×17, and the same schedule shows up against your live crew supply so you know which weeks you’re short before you get there.
Where it lives
Its own tab — every job’s schedule in one list.
Project Schedule sits in the hub’s top bar, between Manpower and Daily Reports. Open it and every job’s schedule is right there in one list — dates, phase count, the GC it’s for, and a chip on the jobs split into buildings.
Pick one to keep building, or start a new one. Finished jobs archive out of the way instead of cluttering the list you work from every week.
Build it
Type the phases. Drag them onto the calendar.
Type your phases into the left rail — Footings, SOG, Tilt-Up — and each one gets its own row. Drag across the calendar to place its bar and the name fills in for you. Drag a bar to move it, pull an edge to resize it, click it to rename, recolor or re-date.
Drag a phase’s number to reorder the list, and the printed sheet follows — the activities print in the order you set, not the order the dates happen to fall.
Crew loading
The men per week sit right under the phases.
Click a cell inside a phase and type the crew you’ll need that week — or day by day when Day Mode is on. Where two phases overlap, the cell shows the combined total, and you can hard-set it when the real number isn’t just the sum. The row keeps a running peak so you can see the worst week at a glance.
On the Projection board
…and the same schedule lands against your live crew.
Everything you build here shows up on the Manpower Projection board automatically — read-only, next to the crew you actually have, with the gap strip and net band telling you which weeks come up short. Click a schedule’s name there and it opens right back here to edit.
These are the same numbers the crew forecast counts, so the plan and the labor forecast can never drift apart — there is one schedule, not a copy.
Multi-building
Link the buildings of one job.
Split a job into Bldg 1 / 2 / 3 and give each its own phases — switch between them from the Buildings strip without leaving the job. They print on one continuous calendar: a band per building, milestones from all of them, and a stacked crew histogram that makes the combined peak impossible to miss.
Staggered and back-to-back buildings stay together on that one sheet. Only buildings whose dates genuinely don’t overlap print on their own.
And when you’re building all three at once, the All Buildings view opens the whole job full screen — every building as its own lane on one shared week axis, with alignment guides that follow the bar you’re dragging across every lane. You stagger Bldg 2 against Bldg 1 while you place it, not by switching tabs and checking after.
One button, and it’s the sheet you hand the GC.
There is one Print, and it is always the share-with-the-GC sheet: title block, activity table in the order you set, the phase bars, the milestones, and the crew the schedule plans. Tabloid 11×17, ready for the trailer wall.
Your internal crew availability never prints — no available-crew line, no over-capacity marks, no short-handed callout. Run long and the schedule simply continues onto the next sheet, each labelled Sheet 1 of 3 with the dates it covers so they tape into one run.
What you do on the page
Type the phases
Footings, SOG, tilt-up — type them into the rail and each gets its own row.
Drag them onto the calendar
Drag to place a bar, drag it to move, pull an edge to resize. The name fills in for you.
Set the crew
Click a cell under a phase and type the men for that week — or per day in Day Mode.
Pin milestones
Drop a ◆ on a bar’s start or finish — NTP, SOG complete, turnover. It rides the bar if the phase moves.
Shift when it slips
Move the whole schedule to a new start week — phases, milestones and crew together.
Print for the GC
One tap: the 11×17, always safe to hand over.
Why not a spreadsheet
| A schedule in Excel or P6 | Planning Ops Project Schedule | |
|---|---|---|
| Building it | Draw bars by hand, re-align every date change | Type the phases, drag them onto the calendar |
| The crew numbers | Live in a second sheet nobody updates | Sit under the phases — and feed your crew forecast |
| When the job slips | Move every bar one at a time | Shift the whole schedule to a new start week |
| Multiple buildings | A separate file per building | Linked buildings on one continuous calendar |
| Handing it to the GC | Export, crop, hope it prints | One tap: a GC-ready 11×17 |
| What the GC sees | Whatever is on the sheet | Never your internal crew availability |
